Divorce is, for all intents and purposes, a death.

As with any sort of grief, divorce creates a sort of vaccuum inside one’s soul. One experiences not only grief, but guilt, shame, loneliness, and anger. But throughout this process, through all these stages, we are healing our hearts and being prepared for a brighter future, with the help of Allah, and are able to find acceptance and even hope again.

Check out this wonderful e-book, written by my-iddah.com/divorce author Amran Abdi wherein she details these stages, and offers helpful suggestions to help one move through them more smoothly.
